Terms of Service

Taxii.ma is a demand visibility platform. It shows taxi drivers where passengers are waiting, and shows passengers an estimated wait time — without booking a ride, without dispatching a specific driver, and without processing any payment.

The actual pickup always happens in the physical world: a passenger flags down a taxi on the street. Taxii.ma is the signal layer that helps supply (drivers) find demand (passengers) more efficiently.

Taxii.ma is not a ride-hailing platform, a taxi dispatch service, or a transport operator. We do not employ drivers, set fares, or guarantee the availability of a taxi at any given time or location.

You may use Taxii.ma if you:

  Are at least 16 years of age.
• ✓
  Have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements in your country of residence.
• ✓
  Agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
• ✓
  Are using the service only for lawful purposes within Morocco.

Drivers additionally must: hold a valid Moroccan professional taxi licence (autorisation de taxi) and have completed the KYC onboarding process on the platform.

To access most features, you must sign in using a Google or Apple account. By signing in, you authorise us to receive your name, email address, and profile photo from that provider.

  One account per person. You may not create multiple accounts or share your account credentials with anyone else.

  Accurate information. You must ensure that your account information is accurate and up to date.
• →
  Account security. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your sign-in provider credentials. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

  Account closure. You may delete your account at any time via the app settings. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data after deletion.

As a driver using Taxii.ma you agree to:

  Hold a valid licence. You must hold, and keep valid, a Moroccan professional taxi authorisation (authorisation de taxi). If your licence expires or is suspended, you must stop using the driver app immediately and notify us.

  Provide accurate KYC documents. The identity and licence documents you upload during onboarding must be genuine, current, and belong to you. Uploading false documents is grounds for permanent ban and may result in referral to Moroccan authorities.

  Drive safely and lawfully. Using the app while driving is prohibited. Pull over safely before interacting with the heatmap. You are solely responsible for complying with Moroccan road traffic law.

  Maintain your subscription. Access to the driver heatmap requires an active paid subscription once the free launch period ends. Subscription fees are charged on a recurring basis as displayed in the app.

  Act professionally toward passengers. When a passenger flags you down, you must treat them with respect and comply with Moroccan consumer protection standards and taxi regulations, including metered fares where required.

  Do not game the heatmap. Creating fake demand signals, using bots, or manipulating your location data to influence the heatmap is strictly prohibited and will result in permanent account termination.

As a passenger using Taxii.ma you agree to:

  Signal genuine demand only. The "I need a taxi here" button should be pressed only when you actually need a taxi at your current location. Do not send false demand signals.

  Understand the nature of the service. Taxii.ma is a visibility tool, not a booking guarantee. Pressing the button does not reserve a taxi for you. You must flag one down on the street in the usual way.

  Use the app safely. Do not use the app in a manner that creates a traffic hazard or nuisance to others, including standing in unsafe locations while waiting.

  Respect drivers. Taxii.ma does not set fares. Payment, negotiation, and all aspects of the actual trip are between you and the driver in accordance with Moroccan taxi regulations.

Hotels, receptions, event organisers, and other businesses that use the Data Sources portal agree to:

  Submit accurate requests. Group transport requests must reflect genuine, imminent guest needs. Do not submit requests speculatively to manipulate driver positioning.

  Not collect or store guest personal data on our behalf. When submitting group requests, do not include names or personal details of individual guests. The system is designed to work with numbers and time slots only.

  Maintain account security. Business accounts may have multiple authorised users. The account holder is responsible for ensuring that only authorised employees access the portal.

  Pay any applicable business fees. Business partner access is subject to the fee structure in force at the time of sign-up or as communicated in advance of renewal.

The following are prohibited for all users on all parts of the Taxii.ma platform:

Taxii.ma operates on the following commercial model:

  Auto-renewal: Driver subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date via the app settings or by contacting support.
• →
  Refunds: If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us at contact@taxii.ma within 14 days of the charge. We will review on a case-by-case basis.
• →
  Price changes: We will give at least 30 days' advance notice of any subscription price increase, via in-app notification and email.
• →
  No payment processing in-app: At launch, subscription management may be handled offline or via a third-party payment link. We do not store card details on our servers.

We aim to keep Taxii.ma available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The platform may be unavailable due to:

  Scheduled maintenance (we will try to communicate this in advance).
• →
  Unexpected technical failures, power outages, or third-party infrastructure issues.
• →
  Events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure).

We are not liable for losses arising from service unavailability, including lost fares for drivers or failure to find a taxi for passengers.

Taxii.ma provides a demand-visibility information service. To the maximum extent permitted by Moroccan law:

  We are not a transport provider. We are not party to any agreement between a passenger and a driver, and we have no responsibility for the conduct, safety, or punctuality of any driver.
• →
  No guarantee of taxi availability. Taxii.ma helps drivers find demand, but it does not guarantee that a taxi will be available at any time or place.
• →
  No guarantee of accuracy. Wait-time estimates are algorithmic approximations and may not reflect actual conditions on the ground.
• →
  Cap on liability. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the use of the platform is limited to the subscription fees you paid to us in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

All content, software, branding, design, and technology that make up the Taxii.ma platform are the exclusive property of Taxii.ma (or our licensors) and are protected by Moroccan and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property law.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Taxii.ma app on your personal device solely for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without our express written permission.

You retain ownership of any content you submit (e.g., documents during KYC). By submitting them, you grant us a limited licence to use that content for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy.

By you: You may stop using Taxii.ma and delete your account at any time. Deleting your account cancels any active driver subscription from the next billing cycle (no partial-month refunds unless required by law).

By us: We may suspend or permanently terminate your access to Taxii.ma if:

  You breach these Terms or our Privacy Policy.

  We receive a valid legal order requiring us to do so.
• →
  We reasonably believe your use of the platform poses a risk to other users, third parties, or the integrity of the service.
• →
  Your driver licence or authorisation expires, is revoked, or becomes invalid.

Where possible we will give you notice and an opportunity to respond before taking action, unless the breach is serious and immediate action is required.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco, including but not limited to:

  Moroccan Law 09-08 on the Protection of Personal Data.
• →
  The Moroccan Code of Obligations and Contracts (Dahir des Obligations et des Contrats).
• →
  Applicable consumer protection regulations.

In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to contact us first at contact@taxii.ma to seek an amicable resolution. If no resolution is reached within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Marrakech, Morocco.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:

  Notify you via in-app notification and/or email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

  Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

Continued use of Taxii.ma after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not accept the new Terms, you must stop using the platform and delete your account before the effective date.
